Product Details

Did you know that 80% of dogs and 70% of cats will have signs of gum disease by the age of three?
The Dual Ended Toothbrush is designed to help protect your pet from dental disease by removing the plaque that causes it. Suitable for cats and dogs, this ergonomic toothbrush is crafted to make toothbrushing easy and effective for pets of all sizes. It features:
• A large and small brush head to comfortably fit different-sized mouths
• Soft bristles that gently clean without irritating tender gums
• Reverse-angled heads to easily reach all parts of the mouth
• Tapered ends that conform to the teeth and gums for a more thorough clean
• A long handle for easy manoeuvring

Toothbrushing is the gold standard for removing plaque and preventing oral disease in cats and dogs, but it’s not always easy to get your pet on board! With a dog and cat toothbrush designed with their comfort in mind, you can help even the most reluctant pet to embrace a daily oral hygiene routine.

How to clean a dog’s teeth or a cat’s teeth with the C.E.T. Dual-Ended Toothbrush:
1. Make sure your pet is in a quiet, safe place.
2. Choose the toothbrush end that best suits your pet’s size.
3. Introduce the toothbrush and let your pet lick and sniff it.
4. Add a small amount of C.E.T. Enzymatic Toothpaste to the brush.
5. Let your pet taste the toothpaste first so that they’re more likely to accept it during brushing.
6. Gently brush all of the surfaces of your pet’s teeth and along the gum line.
7. That’s it – no need to rinse!
8. Always reward your pet with a cuddle afterwards to make it a positive experience.

TIP: Before you start to introduce toothbrushing, it can be helpful to train your pet to tolerate being touched around the mouth and having their lip lifted without being forced.

FAQ

Yes. The Dual Ended Toothbrush has two brush head sizes so for smaller pets you can use the end with the small brush head to brush their teeth comfortably.

Daily cat and dog dental cleaning is essential for keeping your pet’s teeth and gums healthy, but we know that some pets simply won’t tolerate toothbrushing. You can help your pet accept oral care by gradually getting them used to having their mouth examined and touched before you introduce toothbrushes or finger brushes. It can also help to let your pet taste the toothpaste on its own first so that they’re not overwhelmed by too many new sensations at once. If your pet really doesn’t react well to toothbrushing, don’t stress! Although a toothbrush is the most effective method, rubbing a small amount of C.E.T. Enzymatic Toothpaste into the teeth and gums with your fingers can still help to reduce plaque and bacteria. You can also supplement this by adding Vet Aquadent FR3SH™ Drinking Water Additive to your pet’s drinking water or, for dogs, giving them a daily VeggieDent® FR3SH™ Dental Chew. Both contain triple-action technology that helps to control bacterial plaque and reduce the risk of dental disease.

Start by choosing the end of the toothbrush with the brush head that best suits your pet’s size to ensure a comfortable brushing experience. You should use the toothbrush with a specially formulated toothpaste for cats and dogs, like C.E.T. Enzymatic Toothpaste. Let your pet lick and sniff the toothbrush and taste some of the toothpaste first so they're more likely to accept them. Then place a small amount of toothpaste on the toothbrush and gently brush it on your pet’s teeth. Make sure to cover all surfaces of the teeth, inside and out, and pay attention to the gum line. There’s no need to rinse afterwards. Be sure to give your pet lots of praise afterwards to make it a positive experience.
