Did you know that nearly 90% of pets have some form of gum disease?

Along with bad breath, gum disease is usually caused by a build-up of bacterial plaque. The best way to help prevent these problems in your pet is to remove plaque from their teeth every day using a toothbrush and toothpaste, such as C.E.T. Enzymatic Toothpaste.

Featuring our patented C.E.T. Dual Enzyme System, this unique cat and dog toothpaste uses two powerful enzymes to fight bacterial plaque: glucose oxidase and lactoperoxidase. These naturally occuring enzymes form a compound that helps to control bacterial growth, reducing plaque and tartar formation. Together, they help to boost the natural defences of the mouth.

C.E.T. Enzymatic Toothpaste is safe for everyday use in cats and dogs of all ages and breeds. It contains no harsh foaming agents, so it can be safely swallowed without the need for rinsing. Available in tasty poultry and fish flavours, it’s sure to be a welcome addition to your cat or dog’s dental care routine.

How to clean a dog’s teeth or a cat’s teeth with C.E.T. Enzymatic Toothpaste:

TIP: Before you start to introduce toothbrushing, it can be helpful to train your pet to tolerate being touched around the mouth and having their lip lifted without being forced.

  1. Make sure your pet is in a quiet, safe place.
  2. Introduce the toothbrush or finger brush and let your pet lick and sniff it.
  3. Let your pet taste the toothpaste first so that they’re more likely to accept it during brushing.
  4. Place a small amount of toothpaste on a clean finger, toothbrush or finger brush.
  5. Gently rub or brush the toothpaste over all of the surfaces of your pet’s teeth and along the gum line.
  6. That’s it – no need to rinse!
  7. Always reward your pet with a cuddle afterwards to make it a positive experience.

FAQ

C.E.T. Enzymatic Toothpaste contains a patented C.E.T. Dual-Enzyme System with glucose oxidase and lactoperoxidase. These enzymes form a naturally occuring element that controls oral bacteria growth, plaque formation and bad breath.

Daily cat and dog dental cleaning is essential for keeping your pet’s teeth and gums healthy, but we know that some pets simply won’t tolerate toothbrushing. You can help your pet accept oral care by gradually getting them used to having their mouth examined and touched before you introduce toothbrushes or finger brushes. It can also help to let your pet taste the toothpaste on its own first so that they’re not overwhelmed by too many new sensations at once. If your pet really doesn’t react well to toothbrushing, don’t stress! Although a toothbrush is the most effective method, rubbing a small amount of C.E.T. Enzymatic Toothpaste into the teeth and gums with your fingers can still help to reduce plaque and bacteria. You can also supplement this by adding Vet Aquadent FR3SH™ Drinking Water Additive to your pet’s drinking water or, for dogs, giving them a daily VeggieDent® FR3SH™ Dental Chew. Both contain triple-action technology that helps to control bacterial plaque and reduce the risk of dental disease.

There are no known side effects of enzymatic toothpastes like C.E.T. Enzymatic Toothpaste and it is considered suitable for cats and dogs of all ages, sizes and breeds. If your pet has a health condition or is taking medication, always consult with your vet to make sure a new cat or dog toothpaste is appropriate. If your vet prescribes a new medication, be sure to let them know your pet is using C.E.T. Enzymatic Toothpaste.

C.E.T. Enzymatic Toothpaste can be used with a pet toothbrush, like the Dual-Ended Toothbrush, or a finger toothbrush, like that found in the C.E.T. Oral Hygiene Kit. Place a small amount of the toothpaste on the toothbrush and gently brush it all over your pet’s teeth. Make sure to cover all surfaces of the teeth, inside and out, and pay attention to the gum line too. There's no need to rinse afterwards. Be sure to give your pet lots of praise afterwards to make it a positive experience. C.E.T. Enzymatic Toothpaste is gentle enough to use every day as part of your pet’s daily oral hygiene routine.
