Did you know that nearly 90% of pets have some form of gum disease?
Along with bad breath, gum disease is usually caused by a build-up of bacterial plaque. The best way to help prevent these problems in your pet is to remove plaque from their teeth every day using a toothbrush and toothpaste, such as C.E.T. Enzymatic Toothpaste.
Featuring our patented C.E.T. Dual Enzyme System, this unique cat and dog toothpaste uses two powerful enzymes to fight bacterial plaque: glucose oxidase and lactoperoxidase. These naturally occuring enzymes form a compound that helps to control bacterial growth, reducing plaque and tartar formation. Together, they help to boost the natural defences of the mouth.
C.E.T. Enzymatic Toothpaste is safe for everyday use in cats and dogs of all ages and breeds. It contains no harsh foaming agents, so it can be safely swallowed without the need for rinsing. Available in tasty poultry and fish flavours, it’s sure to be a welcome addition to your cat or dog’s dental care routine.
How to clean a dog’s teeth or a cat’s teeth with C.E.T. Enzymatic Toothpaste:
TIP: Before you start to introduce toothbrushing, it can be helpful to train your pet to tolerate being touched around the mouth and having their lip lifted without being forced.
- Make sure your pet is in a quiet, safe place.
- Introduce the toothbrush or finger brush and let your pet lick and sniff it.
- Let your pet taste the toothpaste first so that they’re more likely to accept it during brushing.
- Place a small amount of toothpaste on a clean finger, toothbrush or finger brush.
- Gently rub or brush the toothpaste over all of the surfaces of your pet’s teeth and along the gum line.
- That’s it – no need to rinse!
- Always reward your pet with a cuddle afterwards to make it a positive experience.
