Complete diet made of high quality ingredients

So good for their health

Our chunks in gravy recipe is formulated to promote cat’s health

  • Supports hydration

Water intake is key for cat’s urinary health. Our wet diet allows cats to naturally ingest more water. High protein formulation also drives cats to drink more, which is good for them.

  • Promotes urinary health

By increasing water intake, giving our pouches to your cat will decrease the mineral concentration in their urine. This will reduce the risk of inflammation and crystals in your cat’s urinary tract.

  • Improves satiety effect

Thanks to its high amount of water, our diet promotes satiety. It will prevent your cat from feeling hungry and from begging. This satiety effect will contribute to prevent overfeeding and keep your cat in optimal body condition.

Specifically designed to meet your preferred carnivore’s needs

Cats are strict carnivores

Even domesticated, cats are strict carnivores. They prefer and need to get their energy mainly from proteins and fat and their body is not adapted to consume large amounts of carbohydrate, which can result in digestive discomfort and weight gain.

Low Carbohydrate/High Protein recipes

We have designed our recipes following the concept of very Low Carbohydrate/High Protein.

  • Our diet contains high amounts of animal proteins. They are essential to your cat’s health as they naturally maintain a good urine pH and encourage your cat to drink more.

  • We incorporate minimal quantities of vegetable ingredients. Our formula contains low levels of carbohydrate, which limits the risks of weight gain and fat deposit.

Our goal is to be as close as possible to natural cat’s nutritional preference profile, as for the rest of VETERINARY HPM® range.

So tasty

Our chunks in gravy are made of high quality animal ingredients that naturally provide a flavour and taste that your cat will love.

So rest assured that not only will it be good for their health, but your cat will also love their new diet.

Nutrition can make all the difference

When it comes to your cat’s health, apart from your love, nothing is more important than offering the right nutrition. Nutrition is key to keeping them in good shape and limiting the risks of developing health issues.

Nutrition needs to be balanced, which means it has to meet cats’ nutritional needs as well as specific requirements related to their age, lifestyle, bodyweight and health condition. And regardless of their lifestage or health status, cats are carnivores, and their nutrition should reflect this. A Low-Carbohydrate High-Protein formulation is the closest to their needs and preferences. A high share of high-quality animal protein is also essential to help promote urinary and skin health, as well as maintaining optimal bodyweight.

VETERINARY HPM® is an advanced range of lifestage and clinical diets, and both follow the same nutritional philosophy: cats are carnivores and should be fed accordingly, with high levels of high-quality protein, mainly of animal origin, and low levels of carbohydrate.

By nature, cats are small drinkers, which in some cases may lead to very concentrated urine and urinary issues such as crystals, stones and cystitis. This is why VETERINARY HPM® diets offer advanced solutions to help with this. High protein content helps to naturally stimulate drinking, and built-in supplements such as chitosan help to limit phosphorus excretion. Furthermore, the wet diets contain high levels of moisture, which means the amount of water ingested will naturally be higher. Combining VETERINARY HPM® wet and dry diets is a great solution for your cat, providing high-quality nutrition and optimal body water turnover. For instance, you may choose to give your cat one pouch a day of Adult Cat Wet with salmon alongside Adult Neutered Cat dry diet. Or if your cat has been diagnosed with urinary issues and your vet has advised feeding our Urology diet, it is possible to mix Urology Cat Wet with the Urology dry diets.

  • How much should I feed my pet?

VETERINARY HPM® is very palatable, but we do advise that you respect the daily rations recommended by your vet or vet nurse. Our general feeding guidelines can be found on every bag, but your vet or vet nurse can provide you with a recommendation tailored specifically to your pet.

  • My pet is drinking more. Is this normal?

A dog should drink 50-70ml/kg of their bodyweight each day, whilst cats should consume 60ml/kg.

With VETERINARY HPM®, thanks to its higher amount of protein compared to other dry foods, your pet will naturally consume more water. So don't be surprised if they start drinking more water than usual - that's a good thing!
