This expertly formulated food gives your cat the optimal nutrition they need to thrive as they reach and maintain their ideal weight. It features:

FAQ

VETERINARY HPM® Weight Loss & Control W2 is a weight loss food for overweight cats. It’s also suitable for:

• Regulating glucose supply in diabetic cats who are ideal weight or underweight (for obese cats with diabetes, try VETERINARY HPM® Weight Loss & Diabetes W1 instead).
• Managing fibre-responsive colitis.
• Managing lipid metabolism disorders (hyperlipidaemia).

VETERINARY HPM® Weight Loss & Control W2 is not suitable for kittens, pregnant/nursing cats, or cats with chronic kidney disease.

Before switching your cat to a new food, always check with your vet first.

It's best to introduce any new cat food gradually to help your cat get used to their new diet. Try giving your cat a combination of their current food and VETERINARY HPM® Weight Loss & Control W2, slowly increasing the proportion of the new food as follows:

• Days 1 & 2: 75% current food and 25% VETERINARY HPM® Weight Loss & Control W2
• Days 3 & 4: 50% current food and 50% VETERINARY HPM® Weight Loss & Control W2
• Days 5 & 6: 25% current food and 75% VETERINARY HPM® Weight Loss & Control W2
• Day 7 onwards: 100% VETERINARY HPM® Weight Loss & Control W2

Before switching your cat to a new food, always check with your vet first.

Please refer to the feeding rations on the packaging of VETERINARY HPM® Weight Loss & Control cat food for recommended portion sizes. Keep in mind that you should feed your cat based on their current weight, so you should weigh them regularly and adjust their rations as necessary. Do this once a week if your cat is losing weight, or once a month if they’re maintaining their weight.

If your cat has a significant amount of weight to lose (>30% of their current weight), they may benefit from starting on VETERINARY HPM® Weight Loss & Diabetes cat food instead. This food has a lower energy density to encourage greater weight loss. Once your cat has reached their ideal weight, you can help them to maintain it by switching to VETERINARY HPM® Weight Loss & Control.

VETERINARY HPM® Weight Loss & Control is ideal both for helping your cat to lose weight, and for helping them to maintain a stable weight long-term. It can also help to regulate g;lucose supply in diabetic cats that are already at an ideal weight or underweight. VETERINARY HPM® Weight Loss & Diabetes is designed for overweight and obese cats, with or without diabetes, to help them reach an ideal weight. In the case of diabetes, it can also help to regulate glucose supply. Always consult your vet when switching between these two foods as portions may need to be adjusted based on your cats individual requirements.

Cats are naturally carnivores and need to eat an abundance of high-quality animal proteins for optimal health. VETERINARY HPM® Weight Loss & Control is formulated to meet these needs with 44% protein (90% animal origin) and 18.5% carbohydrates. The high-protein/low-carbohydrate balance is ideal for preserving lean muscle mass, maintaining a healthy weight, and supporting your cat's digestion.
