Dog Weight Loss & Diabetes W1 is a weight loss dog food that contains a low energy density to help to achieve rapid weight loss, it is targeted at dogs that need to loose more than 30% of their body weight. The high protein-low carbohydrate formulation means the diet is highly palatable whilst reducing hunger with high levels of fibre. It’s also suitable for: - Regulating blood glucose supply in overweight diabetic dogs. If your diabetic dog is already at a healthy weight, try Dog Weight Loss & Control W2 instead. - Managing fibre-responsive colitis. - Managing lipid metabolism disorders (hyperlipidaemia). Dog Weight Loss & Diabetes W1 is not suitable for puppies, pregnant/lactating dogs, and dogs with chronic kidney disease.

Dogs are naturally carnivores and need to eat an abundance of high-quality animal proteins for optimal health. VETERINARY HPM® Weight Loss & Diabetes W1 is formulated to meet these needs with 34% protein (94% animal origin) and 23% carbohydrates. The high-protein/low-carbohydrate balance is ideal for preserving lean muscle mass, achieving a healthy weight, and supporting your dog's digestion.

Now that your dog has reached a healthy weight, you can switching to Weight Loss & Control W2 weight control dog food. With more energy per portion, this food is ideal for stabilising your dog's weight.

Weight Loss & Diabetes W1 is designed for overweight dogs, with or without diabetes, to help them reach a healthy weight. In the case of diabetes, it can also help to regulate gluocose supply by slowly releasing energy preventing glucose spikes. Weight Loss & Control W2 is for overweight dogs that require a soft weight loss approach and might not need to lose very much weight (under 30% bodyweight) it is also used to help them to maintain a stable weight long-term. This food is also suitable for diabetic dogs that are an ideal bodyweight due to the regulation of glucose supply.
