Our commitment

Choosing the right ingredients

Because every animal is unique, nutrition must be adapted to the specific nutritional needs of the invidual, based on their species, size, age, activity or state of health.

1. HOW ARE THE DIETS PREPARED?

Our veterinary nutritionists define the proportions of the nutrients they need, based on the most up to date scientific research. This is the starting point for a formulation process that can take several years.

2. HOW ARE INGREDIENTS SELECTED?

The fundamentals include high quality animal protein as the first ingredient, low carbohydrate content, adapted fat content and a balance of vitamins and minerals. All the meat used in our diets is fit for human consumption and of European origin. Our vegetable raw materials come from non-GMO crops. All diets are free from gluten, wheat, soya, corn and egg and contain no added artificial colours or flavours.

3. HOW ARE THE INGREDIENTS SOURCED?

A complete diet is designed to be consumed daily over many years. Therefore, long-term availability of high-quality ingredients with a stable nutritional value is key. This is a real challenge, especially for animal protein, the main ingredient in our food, which is why we have selected trusted and reliable suppliers.

4. HOW DO YOU MAKE SURE THE FORMULATION WORKS?

All our recipes are subject to confirmation studies with owners, involving more than 4,000 dogs and cats. We want to make sure we meet the nutritional needs of the animal whilst optimising palatability.
